Review: The service is operated through the Tipping Guru’s publishing house and offers win and each way betting on horse racing in the UK and Ireland. The tipster is Irish and there is a fair proportion of selections from the Emerald Isle.

Advised by email usually on the morning of racing the intention is for bets to be placed at Best Odds Guaranteed with staking advised for each selection from a 100 point bank. The underlying ethos for the bets is quick returners.

I have been on the point of writing this review several times over the course of the 16 months we have been receiving selections. But each time there has been a sea change in the way the selections are advised thus raising doubt as to whether performance will continue as in the past. In particular the staking is so inconsistent that you cannot really compare the phases of the service and some experiments with forecasts and multiples were also included.

After a rather nervous start the general trend for the service has been positive – the main problem for followers would be the wide range in odds suggested and the high number of tips often seen. I did record the performance (green line on the chart) where the odds drifted from those advised and an improvement in the profit was achieved.

It appears that the publisher had significant problems with the tipster who kept threatening to stop the service at short notice mainly as a result of subscribers cancelling after a poor spell of tips. Eventually this came to pass as a reality and the service was cancelled in mid July, the publisher sending a detailed explanation.

Despite the good profitability and ROI I should have struggled to give the service a recommended status in view of the inconsistent approach and so will offer a posthumous neutral rating.
